I go to Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School. I am moving to Israel in August. My favorite animals are octopi and cats. My favorite color is purple. My favorite food is cheesecake. If Plants Could Talk by Anna

If plants could talk the world would be loud but fun. Grass would complain when you step or sit on it. Flowers would gossip about you. Trees would groan when you pick their fruit. But you would always have someone to talk to.

Justin Bieber and Snoop Dog vs. Katy Perry and Kesha by Elise

One day, when all the famous artists were nine or ten they went to Camp Ramah in California. Justin Bieber, Snoop Dog, Katy Perry, and Kesha met there. Then they got into a fight. The boys said they were better because they were bigger and stronger. The girls argued that it doesn't matter your gender. They argued and argued. Then Justin Bieber fell in love with Kesha and Snoop Dog did the same with Katy Perry. Then they eventually got married and never fought again. The End!

Two Fire Drills? (Don't worry we're safe!)

From the point of view of the Gesher bloggers:

Once there were four bunks getting ready for bed. Then there was a fire drill! So everybody got out and onto the grass. A counselor named Leah told us a story and we went back into the bunks. We were safe! The next day, after swimming time there was another fire drill! Near Camp Ramah there was a fire in a garage. We went to the baseball field like we practiced and then we were allowed to go back to the bunks. We were safe again! -Hannah

After swimming we saw smoke. It was a garage on fire. The garage was near camp so that's how we saw it. We went to the baseball field and figured out that it was not going to hurt us. Now we are safe. -Becca

Today, right after we got out of the pool, there was smoke in the air! Nearby camp, there was a garage on fire. We were going to our bunks when we saw all the smoke. It was scary, but luckily we were safe when we heard it was too far away to harm us. -Elise

Last night the fire alarm went off. Luckily, it was a false alarm. But still we were all really scared! -Anna

Becca: Yes, I have a twin sister (Anna).

Becca: Yes, I have a fish and his name is Indigo.

The Guided Story

I gave the Gesher bloggers a word bank to choose from in which they had to use at least 5 words on the list not including Camp Ramah, which they all had to use. They also had to use complete sentences.

So a camper at Camp Ramah wanted Israeli food, so she told the sports teacher and said, "Can I have food from Israel." The sports teacher said, "sure." She also wanted a phone to call Hannah. "Can I borrow your phone? Thanks." The End! -Hannah

In the future, Camp Ramah will be in a package  of food. This is because a camper and counselor team took an interview on sports. The package was put on a blogging site with a bunk filled with t'fillah and a clipboard. That is now Camp Ramah in 5287 centuries. -Elise

At a party, Katy Perry and Kanye West were talking about how at Camp Ramah they met when getting mail, more specifically a package and food. She was talking on her phone. Kesha was writing on her clipboard. Then Katy and Kesha had a fight and Katy won. -Jewlz

At Camp Ramah, there is an awesome chug called blogging. Also, you are not allowed to use a phone, even if your phone is cool, extreme, or rainbow. Also, we eat falafel which is a yummy food from Israel. We also learn about Israel. We do a lot of fun games. Once, we did face painting. You could be a cute fox or have a striped snake on your arm. Then once we did tie-dye. You could make a piece of white clothing into a very colorful piece of clothing. -Anna

One day I went to Camp Ramah in Israel. We did really fun sports on the plane, and no sports at camp. Everyone got shiny clipboards and a phone. I was a really awesome camper. At camp we ate airplane food and on the plane we ate camp food. I did not get it at all! On the last day of camp, we ate cake that was flavored pickle ketchup. It was disgusting! When I came home, I was so happy that everything was back to normal. -Becca

Trip to the Waterpark!

When we were driving to the waterpark someone by accident opened the emergency exit! The whole way there, there was an alarm buzzing. It was so annoying! -Becca

Hi! So Gesher went to a waterpark on visitor's day. Here's the thing: Two people there told me that Justin Beiber was there too! You know, the kid with the hair and the song that goes, "Baby, baby, baby oh! like baby, baby, baby ooh! Won't you always be mine?" -Jewlz

When Gesher went to the waterpark I went in the lazy river and shared a tube with Emily who is in my bunk. Then I played at the park that has water-slides. After that, I went back to the lazy river. On our way to the waterpark someone opened the emergency exit and the whole time there was a beeping noise!           -Hannah

When we went to the waterpark I got stuck on the side of the lazy river! I was really scared because there were four people on a the floatie with me. I had to climb up onto the side of the lazy river and walk back to the beginning. -Anna

My friends Natalya, Farrah, Rachel, and I were playing a game at the waterpark. Natalya was the mom and Rachel was her friend. She was pretending that her and Farrah were twin sisters, which was bad because we had the exact same bathing suit on. Natalya pretended to be nice but she was evil. The twins ran away. Sometimes we got caught and sometimes it was hard to get away. Rachel pretended to catch us. While we were swimming away Natalya ditched us! -Elise

The waterpark was really fun! The water structure had really cold water but that's ok because it was still extremely fun. There was a lazy river which is basically a pool with a current that's made to look like a river and you get a tube and go through the river. It's super cool and really fun. I did the lazy river with my friend Jillian. All in all, the lazy river was awesome!!! -Adie
